Port Elliot Show Weekend 2023
What a weekend wow…It was certainly show time – Port Elliot Show weekend Oct 7th – 8th 2023.
A very, very big thank you to the Port Elliot Show organisers for putting on a great show…well done, and the weather…perfect!!
We were certainly busy, busy at the BBQ and it was really great meeting so many of our community out and about enjoying the show and the sunshine.
I must mention as busy as we were some members managed to sneak away and by the photos were having way, way too much fun!!
Thank you to everyone who visited us at our BBQ, looking forward to 2024…hope to see you all again🦁
Bunnings Volunteers Day
All the Emergency Services were present at Bunnings Victor Harbor in March 2023. There were demonstrations and the local radio station was in attendance.
Our Lions cooked pancakes, sold Lions Christmas Cakes and soft drinks, showing our support.
Smokey the Koala came to visit us and on removing the head, we were able to say hello to the Mayor of Victor Harbor.
Lions Christmas Cakes & Puddings
We continue to sell our Christmas cakes and puddings throughout the year and are happy to receive orders for these products.
Please contact us if you require any of these famous Lions products as we are happy to deliver within the Fleurieu region or otherwise can be purchased at any of our Bunnings BBQ’s or other Lions events.
We will be manning our regular fundraiser outside the Victor Harbor Post Office 54 Ocean Street, selling Christmas cakes, puddings from the week commencing Friday 3rd November, Monday 6th November & Wednesday 8th November and continuing throughout November and December each Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am – 4pm, concluding on Wednesday December 13th. Please come past and say hello to our wonderful volunteers.
Raffles
Our annual raffle commenced in October during the Port Elliot Show weekend. Raffle tickets will be sold in conjunction with our Christmas cakes outside the Victor Harbor Post Office 54 Ocean Street from the week commencing Friday 3rd November, Monday 6th November & Wednesday 8th November and continuing throughout November & December each Monday, Wednesday & Friday 10am – 4pm, concluding on Wednesday December 13th.
Continuing then at our Christmas Parcel Wrapping Bay in Victor Central near Father Christmas from the 16th December – 24th December 9am – 5pm.
Our raffle was drawn at The Farmers Market on Saturday January 27th at 10am congratulations to the following:

Bunnings BBQs
A beautiful winters day for another Bunnings BBQ. We offer not only beautifully cooked sausages and onions but also chilled soft drink and water. We also sell our famous Cakes and Puddings all year round, much to the delight of our customers. We not only have great fun running these BBQ’s but also have a lot of fun feeding the pooches of Victor Harbor and visiting pooches to our wonderful coastal town. It is amazing how many customers come along to get a sausage for their much loved pets and how many sausages just fall off the BBQ and those lucky pooches get a free meal!!!

Christmas Parcel Wrapping
In our final 8 days before Christmas we are in the Victor Harbor Mall alongside Father Christmas, selling our cakes and puddings as well as wrapping customers Christmas gifts for a gold coin donation, plus continuing to sell raffle tickets.
We will be selling and wrapping from 15th December – 24th December 9am – 5pm.
Surf Life Saving Club Fundraiser
Victor Harbor & Port Elliot Lions will have their BBQ & Pancakes operating at the Nippers Surf Carnival on Sunday 11th February 2024.
We will have bacon & egg burgers on the grill from around 7.30am. During the day we will have burgers, sausages and steak all offered with onions. We also offer some vegetarian items if that is your preference.
If you are looking for something sweet don’t forget our pancakes, you can have jam & cream, maple syrup, lemon and sugar and Nutella yum!
Victor Harbor & Port Elliot Lions have had a long association of over 45 years with the Port Elliot Surf Life Saving Club by running a BBQ and Pancakes on the first 4 Sundays of January.
This year Victor Harbor & Port Elliot lions members will be at the Port Elliot Surf Life Saving Club from Sunday December 31st and Sunday January 7th, 14th and 21st. Come down for a family fun day from 4pm onwards.
The area in front of the PESLSC is a beautiful family area to be enjoyed. Many families come down to the beach to enjoy the festivities.
Our EFTPOS system is available at all our BBQ’s .
