Our Club History
The South Coast Lions Club Charter was held on the 31st of May 1969 at the Goolwa Centennial Hall, attended by 350 people.
This gathering preceded earlier held public and formation meetings to gauge the public interest in forming a Lions Club on the South Coast.
The South Coast Lions Club was chartered with 29 members: 15 from Goolwa, 10 from Port Elliot and 2 each from Victor Harbor and Mt Compass.
In late 1970 a group of members from the South Coast Club decided to form a Goolwa Lions Club which was Chartered in September 1979.
Following on the 15th February 1985 the Yankalilla Lions Club was chartered and in the same year the South Coast Lions Club became Victor Harbor & Port Elliot Lions Club.

Being a Lion…Changing the World
We serve our community at the local level, but never forget that we are part of an incredible network of dedicated volunteers who are united in our mission of service. Together, we are changing peoples lives for the better, every day, all around the world. We meet the needs of our local communities and the world.
What has Victor Harbor & Port Elliot Lions been up to over the Christmas Holiday Season? I can honestly say lots!!!
Victor Harbor & Port Elliot Lions Club held their Xmas Dinner on Wednesday December 11th at the Hotel Crown, everyone had a great time.
We have been at the Post Office selling Xmas cakes, Puddings and Raffle Tickets from 28th October to 13th December.
We then had our Wrapping Booth up and running selling Xmas cakes, Puddings, Raffle tickets and wrapping every shaped presents imaginable in Victor Central from Monday 16th December concluding on Xmas eve.
We also attended Bunnings Family Xmas event on December 5th where we manned the BBQ keeping everyone fed while they were involved in the activities arranged by the great team at Bunnings Victor Harbor.
Chris Ramsey, Ashlea Farrell and Sandy Ringshaw were invited a Community Group get together on November 28th and had their photo taken…very cute group!!
Our Club attended the Victor Harbor Harness Club trotting meet on December 30th and ran a BBQ for everyone that attended that day. Such a beautiful part of the world.
